COBB COUNTY, Ga. (WIAT) – New information has been released in the death investigation of 22-month-old Cooper Harris who died June 18th after being left in a vehicle for an extended amount of time in an Atlanta area shopping center parking lot.
According to court documents released by Cobb County officials Sunday, “Leanna Harris, the child’s mother, was also questioned regarding the incident and made similar statements regarding researching in car deaths and how it occurs.”
Justin Ross Harris, charged with murder and second degree child cruelty after the death of his son, is being held without bond at the Cobb County jail. Warrants released Saturday revealed that Justin Ross Harris also searched for information on child deaths inside vehicles and what temperature it needs to be for that to occur.
Leanna Harris has not been charged in the death of her son.
A funeral for Cooper Harris was held Saturday at University Church of Christ in Tuscaloosa.
