TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) – Tuscaloosa County investigators say they’re closer to finding the person who shot a 9-year-old boy Monday night. The shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute between the shooter and a 17-year-old boy.
Investigators believe 26-year-old Keeondray Sterling knows something about the shooting. He’s considered person of interest at this time and is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
Sterling is charged with drug possession and probation violation. He served three years in prison for murder and was released in 2013.
Investigators hope Sterling will tell them who shot the 9-year-old boy.
