Tusc. Police: Crimson Tide running back arrested

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) – Tuscaloosa Police confirm that University of Alabama football running back Kenyan Drake was arrested early Saturday morning in the downtown Temerson Square area.

He was in the location where officers shot a shooting suspect outside of Kennedy’s Bar around 1 a.m.. Police confirm that Drake’s vehicle was parked in an area that police roped off with crime scene tape after the shooting.

Drake was taken into custody after he tried to retrieve his vehicle by going underneath the roped off area.

He is being charged with a misdemeanor obstructing government operations charge with bond set at $1,000. He was taken to Tuscaloosa County Jail.
