MOBILE, Ala. (WIAT) — It was a 4-year-old child that first made neighbors aware that something was wrong inside her home.
Now a man is in jail charged with murder and arson.
Gulf Breeze Police tell our sister station, WALA, that they arrested 23-year-old Jamal Jackson following a high speed chase on Friday. That chase followed a call for help from a neighbor who lives a couple doors down from the crime scene. She says it was the woman’s daughter who came and knocked on her door.
The child’s mother, Satori Richardson, died from a stab wound in the South Alabama apartment. Family members say Richardson and Jackson had been dating for about a year.
