Investigators digging deeper into Ross Harris’ online identity

ATLANTA, Ga. (WIAT) — Georgia investigators are taking a closer look at the online persona Ross Harris portrays. From pictures to messages, Harris’ online footprints have left quite an impact.

On the flirting website and smartphone app “Skout” profile pictures for the name “RJ” all appear to be Harris. The profile creator’s message states: “Just looking to talk. Message me. I’m harmless.” And eight months ago the creator writes: “yes I’m married.”

On the stand last Thursday for Harris’ hearing Detective Phil Stoddard spoke about the second life they had discovered belonging to Harris, “Evidence is showing us right now that he’s got this whole second life that he’s living with alternate personalities and alternate personas.”

While his son sat strapped in a car seat in the sweltering Atlanta heat for seven hours investigators say Harris sent lewd text messages and explicit photos to multiple women, one of whom was underage. “He was having up to six different conversations with different women,” said Detective Stoddard. Harris’ attorney repeatedly objected to this testimony and maintained the child’s death was a tragic mistake

Harris online lifePolice meanwhile are combing through Harris’ electronic footprint like the internet searches on his work computer, that included visiting a web page devoted to exploring a child free lifestyle. They also found a search for how to survive in prison.

Despite allegations of infidelity Ross’ wife, Leanna Harris, was seen leaving the Cobb County jail Tuesday. While she remained inside for over 30 minutes it’s unclear whether she was able to meet with her husband during her visit.
