OZARK, Ala. (WIAT) — Police across the country are searching for a man who abducted a 30-year-old Ozark woman and an eight-year-old child at knifepoint.

The abduction occurred Friday morning, police say. Both victims were sexually assaulted and are being treated at a hospital.

Pitt is 5-foot-9 and weighs 175 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair.

He was last seen in a 1999 Toyota Sienna minivan with Alabama license plate 26AP540. Investigators say he could be considered armed and dangerous.

Ozark Police Department spokesman Chief Tony Spivey says arrest warrants on two counts of first-degree kidnapping, first-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree theft of property and first-degree burglary have been issued for Pitts.

Anyone who sees Pitt should not approach him. Rather, contact local law enforcement immediately.
