TALLADEGA, Ala. (WIAT) — There is new information about a possible phone scam targeting some bank and credit union customers.
The First National Bank in Talladega says they are receiving reports of customers getting robo-calls. There are different versions of the call, claiming to be from First National Bank of Talladega, America’s First Credit Union, First Bank, Talladega Credit Union and “our bank”.
Customers are told there is fraud on a credit or debit card and the account has been frozen. It then asks the individual to enter their 16-digit card number. The majority of calls are coming in from blocked or unknown numbers.
Do not give out your information and if you have any questions call your bank.
