24 marijuana plants seized at Tuscaloosa home

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) – A Tuscaloosa man was arrested and charged after agents with the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force seized more than 20 marijuana plants from his home.

Tuscaloosa police spokesman Sgt. Brent Blankley says Jason Stevenson Drummond, 50, was arrested Monday and charged with one count of trafficking marijuana and one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.Capture

Agents seized 24 marijuana plants growing at Drummond’s home on Bellview Drive, Blankley says. Three plants were seized inside the home and 21 were seized from the backyard of the home during the raid, which happened Monday evening.

Blankley says agents also seized $11,200. Drummond is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $105,000 bond.
