US District Court judge out on bond

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — US District Court Judge Mark Fuller is now out of jail on bond after being arrested in Atlanta early Sunday morning on battery charges.

Police were called to the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Atlanta where they say Fuller’s wife told them she had been assaulted by her husband.

Fuller went before a judge in Fulton County, Georgia on Monday.

He presided over the 2006 bribery trial of former Alabama governor Don Siegelman, and former Healthsouth CEO Richard Scrushy.

Fuller is scheduled to be back in court August 22.
