BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Bikers in the Birmingham area came together to spread a message of anti-violence in the city. The Birmingham chapter of the “#1 Stunnas” motorcycle club revved their engines, and hit the streets Saturday. The group is bringing together different organizations in the community to take a stand against violence.
“We need people to know that we will stand up for our neighborhood, and we want people to know that we are an effort, a collective effort that has come together just to do that. To stand up and bring awareness and we’re saying ‘enough is enough,'” says Minister Dwayne Thompson.
This year marks the seventh year for the “#1 Stunnas” motorcycle Birmingham chapter. All the proceeds of Saturday’s event are going to benefit local “Stop the Violence” campaigns.
