Bessemer man found guilty of reckless manslaughter

BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) – A Bessemer man convicted of killing his girlfriend’s son is heading to prison. Demarcus Williams, 24, was found guilty of reckless manslaughter.

He will spend 20 years in prison for the 2010 beating death of Antauan Palmer.

Williams was watching the special needs child while his mother attended a neighborhood revival.

Since Williams has been in the Jefferson County Jail for nearly four years, the judge gave him credit for served.
