Apple upping security measures after recent hack

(WIAT) — Apple may have denied that it was their faulty security that allowed intruders to post nude photos of celebrities on the internet. But now according to the Wall Street Journal, the company is planning on additional steps to keep hackers out of user accounts.

Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook said the celebrities’ iCloud accounts were compromised when hackers correctly answered security questions to obtain their passwords. But to make leaks less likely, Apple will alert users via email and push notifications when someone tries to change an account password or transfer iCloud data to a new device.

Apple plans to start sending the notifications in the next few weeks.
