Tuscaloosa County gets residents prepared during National Prepardness Month

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) – The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office hosted Be Ready Day in recognition of National Preparedness Month on Sept. 11.

Local, state and federal departments and agencies were on hand to display equipment they use daily and in responding to disasters.

Officials also helped attendees program weather radios and install safety apps on smart phones.
