BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Ford is recalling 850,000 vehicles due to air bag problems.
The company says there is a problem with control modules that could keep the air bags from working in a crash.
The recalled models include the 2013 and 2014 Ford C-Max Compact, Fusion Mid-Size Escape SUV, and the Lincoln MKZ Luxury Car.
There is a recall for Chrysler vehicles as well. The automaker says 350,000 vehicles may have an ignition problem that can prevent accessories from working.
The recall is for the 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Charger, Chrysler 300, Dodge Magnum and Jeep Commander.
The problem can cause the vehicle to lose power while driving.
Vehicle owners should receive a notice soon.
