DALLAS, Tex. (WIAT/AP) — Thomas Eric Duncan, the first Ebola patient diagnosed in the United States told health care workers that he had recently been in an area affected by the disease. Duncan flew out of Liberia on September 19th. He made stops in Brussels and Washington D.C. along the way, before landing in Dallas on September 20th.
Duncan fell ill a few days later and was showing signs of the Ebola virus. On September 30th blood tests for Duncan revealed that he had contracted Ebola.
