Alabama announces 2015 football schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The University of Alabama announced the schedule for the 2015 football season Tuesday.

The Crimson Tide gets another neutral site contest to kickoff the season. This time the Tide travels back to AT&T Stadium in Texas for the Cowboys Classic against Wisconsin. Alabama will then head back to Tuscaloosa for a three game home-stand beginning with Middle Tennessee followed by the SEC opener against Ole Miss and wrapping up with Louisiana-Monroe.

Alabama will travel to Athens on October 3 to face the Bulldogs for the first meeting between the teams since the SEC Championship in 2012 and first regular season match-up since 2008.  Alabama then returns home again to face Arkansas before traveling to back to Texas, this time to face the Aggies. The Tide hosts Tennessee on October 24 for what will be the 97th meeting between the teams. Bama’s only Bye week of the season follows on October 31.

LSU makes their visit to Bryant-Denny on November 7. The Tide then travels to Mississippi State to face the Bulldogs on November 14. The final home game of the 2015 season will be the first matchup against the FCS team of Charleston Southern. The annual Iron Bowl follows at Auburn on November 28.
