Auburn announces 2015 football schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Auburn University announced its schedule for the 2015 football season on Tuesday.

Auburn kicks off the 2015 campaign with a neutral site contest against Louisville. It will be only the schools’ second meeting in history. The Tigers’ home opener comes with an in-state match-up against Jacksonville State  on September 12. They’ll then head to Baton Rouge for their annual meeting against LSU.

Auburn returns home to face off against Mississippi State on September 26, followed by a meeting with the Spartans of San Jose State on October 3. The only BYE week of the season falls on October 10.

The Tigers will head to Kentucky on October 15 for a Thursday night game against the Wildcats. They’ll follow that up with a trip to Arkansas on October 24. Auburn returns home to face Ole Miss before hitting the road again to face Texas A&M in College Station.

Auburn’s longest home-stand comes at the close of the 2015 season with its 119th meeting with Georgia on November 14, followed by a match-up against Idaho. The Tigers will then host Alabama in the Iron Bowl on November 28.
