2 injured in shooting on 30th Street in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – Two people were shot on Third Avenue South in Birmingham Friday morning, according to police.

Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards says one person was grazed in the head and another person was grazed in the arm.

Edwards says the suspect is driving a silver Honda CRV. He says the shooting is the case of a mistaken identity vigilante,

The suspect thought he was shooting at a different person, Edwards says.

Anyone with information pertaining to the case is encouraged to contact police.
