4 Tuscaloosa teens charged in Sunday home invasion in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – Four teenagers from Tuscaloosa have been charged in Birmingham in connection with a home invasion investigation that began over the weekend.

Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards says Jonathan Davis, 19, Cassius Lanier, 18, Gregory Stewart, 19, and Khali Jones, 19, were arrested and charged in connection with an incident happened Sunday night on Steiner Avenue.

Edwards says Davis is charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, one count of first-degree burglary and one count of kidnapping.

Lanier and Stewart are each charged with first-degree rape, kidnapping, two counts of first-degree robbery and attempted murder.

Jones is charged with hindering prosecution.

Edwards says police believe one of the victims in the home invasion was sexually assaulted, and he says another suspect is still at large.
