Alabama could be missing 3 injured players against Bulldogs

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) – Alabama could be without three key players for Tuesday night’s game at Mississippi State.

Crimson Tide coach Anthony Grant said Monday that No. 2 scorer Ricky Tarrant will miss his fourth straight game with a lower right leg injury. His replacement at point guard, Retin Obasohan, is doubtful.

Obasohan missed the Tide’s loss to LSU on Saturday night after a cut on his hand became infected. He had started the previous two games in place of Tarrant and had 12 points, eight rebounds and four steals against Missouri.

Freshman Justin Coleman logged his first start and finished 1-of-10 shooting for three points against the Tigers.

Forward Michael Kessens sprained an ankle in the second half against LSU. Grant said he’ll learn more about his leading rebounder’s status in Monday’s practice.
