Garth Brooks announces world tour stopping in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — For the first time in 19 years, Garth Brooks will be touring through Birmingham.

The Garth Brooks World Tour featuring Trisha Yearwood will be visiting the Legacy Arena at the BJCC Friday June 12 and Saturday June 13 at 7 p.m.

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 17 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster, and there is an eight ticket limit per purchase. There will be no ticket sales at the box office or Ticketmaster outlets on April 17.

All tickets will cost $74.99 including taxes and additional facility fees.

Brooks released his first studio album in 13 years, Man Against Machine, on November 11. It has been certified platinum by the RIAA, making Brooks the number one selling solo artist in the U.S. during the 20th century. Brooks also is the fastest-selling album artist in RIAA history and the only solo artist to have six albums top the 10 million mark.

Brooks has taken 25 singles to the number one position on the country charts and is the highest country debut leader of all time. He has received awards from the Academy of Country Music Awards, the American Music Awards, the Country Music Association Awards, the GRAMMY Awards, the People’s Choice Awards and more.
