SYLACAUGA, Ala. (WIAT)– The Talladega County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Sylacauga man in connection with a fatal stabbing that happened early Saturday morning.
Sheriff Jimmy Kilgore tells WIAT42 News that 32-year-old Edmond Woods was arrested at a relative’s home in Selma shortly after midnight Sunday morning. Woods was the boyfriend of the victim, 34-year-old Carrie Ingram.

Ingram was found stabbed multiple times inside her home in the 500 block of Center Hill Road in Sylacauga. She was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center where she died from blood loss around 2:50 a.m.
