DODGE CITY, Ala. (WIAT)–  A Hanceville man is in custody after chasing, and shooting, at his girlfriend’s co-worker Sunday evening.

Michael Dakota Libauskas, 29, of Hanceville is charged with Attempted Murder and Domestic Violence, 3rd Degree-Harassment, after a shooting at the Dodge City Petro Lube about 6:00 p.m.

Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry tells WIAT42 News the shooting stemmed from a domestic violence situation that occurred earlier Sunday between Libauskas and his girlfriend, who works at the Petro Lube.  When the girlfriend came to work, she told a co-worker what had happened earlier in the day.  That co-worker called Libauskas about the incident.

Libauskas then arrived at the store to confront the co-worker. He began to chase and shoot at the co-worker, who fled into nearby woods.  The co-worker was not injured.

Libauskas is in the Cullman County Jail with no bond.
