BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — If you enjoy contemporary Christian and gospel music and good preaching, you might want to head over to Bartow Arena this weekend.
The three day Festival of Hope begins Friday night. But before the show begins there is plenty of work that must be done to get ready for a large scale concert. Dozens of workers are building the stage inside the arena making sure everything is ready.
Pastor Mike McLemore is on the committee that helped bring the concert to Birmingham.
“People can expect a great time together fellowshipping with people all over our city and the region. A great experience of praise and worship with the Lord Jesus Christ. You are going to hear good music and testimony from different people,” McLemore said.
Evangelist Franklin Graham will be bringing a lineup of more than a dozen musicians.
Some of the artist include Kirk Franklin, Newsboys, Tasha Cobbs, Michael W. Smith and many more.
Organizers expect 8,000 people to attend each night. The Festival of Hope events are free to the public.
