DENVER, Co. (WIAT) — Thousands of dollars’ worth marijuana is being recalled by two Denver growing facilities after tests show the use of unapproved pesticides.
The city’s health department says samples tested positive for residues of three pesticides that the state says cannot be used legally on marijuana. It’s likely there is not an acute reaction that would send people to the hospital – but officials aren’t sure about long-term effects.
One shop owner says an employee used the pesticides. That employee has since been fired.
