Police searching for suspect in Kingston grocery store shooting

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A man was found shot outside the Kingston grocery store, police say.

According to Birmingham PD Sgt. Shelton, the man was shot in his abdomen as well as once in his extremities. The victim, who Shelton said is in his early 20s, was transported to UAB. His injuries are life threatening.

According to Shelton, the victim was talking to another male who was sitting inside of a vehicle. At some point in the conversation, the man inside the vehicle opened fire, Shelton said.

Shelton said police are still looking for the suspect. They are trying to get a description of the suspect vehicle.
