BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Lt. Edwards with the Birmingham Police Department said that a 15-year-old was shot around 5 p.m. Thursday evening while he and his friends were playing with a gun.
The gun reportedly went off and a bullet grazed the child in the stomach. The boy ran to a family member’s house on the 600 block of Cambridge Street in Wylam.
He was taken to Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
