UAPD investigating robbery, two suspects still at large

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — The University of Alabama Police Department is investigating a robbery from Monday.

The robbery occurred in the 500 block of Jack Warner Parkway. At 9:50 p.m., a witness reported he was meeting a friend to assist him in purchasing a cell phone. Upon arrival, the victim was found injured by two gunshot wounds, to the leg and abdomen.

The suspects were last seen traveling eastbound on Jack Warner Parkway. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of his wounds. It is believed at this time that no University of Alabama students were involved.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a box style two door car, gold in color.

Both suspects are described as black males, but no further descriptions were given.
