Body of missing Calhoun County man found in submerged vehicle

CALHOUN COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — Investigators have found the body of a missing Calhoun County man.

Now, they’re trying to figure out how he died.

Calhoun County deputies say residents in the the Highland Lakes subdivision in Oxford reported a car submerged in a nearby pond.

Once the car was out of the water, investigators found a body inside.

The victim is identified as 29 year old Jaryd Calloway, who has been missing since Saturday.

Investigators are waiting on an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
