Birmingham police nab alleged armed robbery suspects in Vestavia

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — At 6:30 p.m., Birmingham Police answered a call that a victim had been robbed by multiple suspects at gunpoint.

Birmingham Police Sgt. Shelton says the robbery happened in the 1600 block of 13th Ave N.

Officers located the vehicle and stopped the suspects on Hwy. 31 N in Vestavia. Officers also found a stolen gun.

No one was injured, and two suspects are currently being detained.
