SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Sa’fyre’s Angels are asking for your help to open up all of the cards and letters that came pouring in over the holiday for Schenectady’s Super Survivor.

All of the mail is piled up in a warehouse in Rotterdam, and it’s too much for one little girl to handle.

Since December, Sa’fyre Terry has received approximately 1.7 million cards and packages containing love and encouragement from around the world.

She even got gifts from the first family and her favorite singer, Katy Perry.

To put it all in perspective, there’s 450 cards in each tray. On Sunday, volunteers went through 150 trays and they say it didn’t even make a dent!

Volunteers go to the warehouse, they open cards, sort them out, and today there will be a call for even more volunteers to help with this massive amount of mail!

Michael Cseh runs the operations at Safyre’s Angels.

There will be a surprise announcement at 1:00 p.m. and NEWS10ABC will be there.
