ALEXANDRIA, AL. (WIAT)– Deputies in Calhoun County have seized cocaine and cash after a bust Sunday morning in Alexandria.
It all began as a domestic violence call. After a deputy stopped the suspect vehicle along Post Oak Road, one of the individuals inside fled. The man was arrested after a foot chase.
Following a further search of the vehicle, they discovered over 620 grams of cocaine and $13,000 in cash, as well as a young child. “To our horror, there was a young child inside the suspect vehicle with these drugs”, the sheriff’s office posted on their Facebook page.
The individuals inside the vehicle were arrested and are currently in the Calhoun County jail, according to the post.
