Showers moving out and we’re about to heat up

Skies will begin to clear out overnight tonight and temps will eventually make it down into the middle and upper 50s by early on Tuesday morning. There will be plenty of sunshine for the area and we’ll continue to heat back up for Tuesday afternoon with highs hitting the lower and middle 80s!!! This will be an incredibly warm day on the final week of winter!

Dry weather will hang around into Tuesday night and into Wednesday before the chance of rain begins to creep back into the forecast for central Alabama. There will be a few showers possible on Wednesday evening, but not everyone will be in on the rain. Thursday the rain chances will be going up more and a likely bet for most of our viewing area. There will be a few thundershowers or storms in the mix for Thursday afternoon and into Thursday night as a wave passes through the area and increases the coverage of rain. Temps will be a bit cooler thanks to the clouds and rain on Thursday with highs back into the lower and middle 70s.

Look for a break from the rain on Friday with an outside chance at a passing shower or two through the area on Friday evening, but most of us will stay dry with a mix of sun and clouds. As we get into the weekend though, there will be a chance at a few scattered showers or a stray thundershower for both Saturday and Sunday. There will be a little sunshine for the weekend, but not all the time on either day. Clouds will be persistent throughout the weekend and temps will actually cool down to wrap up the Winter season. High temps will be back into the 50s and 60s over the weekend as we begin the Spring season.

Spring Season will begin on Sunday morning March 20!
