TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — Some Tuscaloosa County residents are attempting to save a goose in an animal cruelty case.
Tuscaloosa police are investigating a case of a white goose that was shot with a bow and arrow. Since the Beacon Point residents noticed the injured bird approximately two weeks ago, they have been trying to locate the goose they call “Loosie”.
“It’s incredibly painful, I can’t imagine how that must feel to her,” said Tammy Tierce, a concerned resident of the neighborhood. “She is trying to swim through the water and you see that the water is putting pressure on the arrow and bending it. It just amazing she’s still alive.”
Loosie’s supporters have put up a $1,200 dollar reward for the goose’s return, and info leading to the arrest of the person who shot her.
