ALABAMA (WIAT) — According to a press release from ALEA, the organization worked multiple Saturday crashes on I-20/59 between the Bessemer and Tuscaloosa County line.
One crash was northbound near mile marker 118 where an overturned tractor-trailer closed roads for some time. There were no injuries, and the road is now open, with traffic flowing normally.
Another crash was southbound near mile marker 104, where two tractor-trailers crashed and one started burning. There are undisclosed injuries at this time, but as of 3:40 p.m., traffic had begun to flow regularly once again.
Lastly, a vehicle caught on fire on the southbound side near mile marker three in Sumter County, but all lanes have been opened at this time.
