BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) — In an ongoing effort to keep tabs on sexual predators, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department is cracking down on those who fail to register.
Cleotha Murray is one of those registered sex offenders. Murray was convicted of rape in Jefferson County in 2001.
He moved to Georgia, but came back to Alabama this year. Murray was supposed to register in both states, but he didn’t. Now there are warrants out for his arrest, and deputies believe he’s in the Bessemer area.
If you see him or know where he is, call the Jefferson County Sexual Predator Hotline at 325-4779.
