BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — We enjoyed a fantastic Saturday in Central Alabama. Hardly a cloud was seen in the entire Southeast. That’s how it will stay for this evening, as temps fall through the 60s this evening, ending up in the mid 50s by tomorrow morning. Mother’s Day is looking great as well, but just a little warmer. We’re calling for highs in the mid 80s.
Monday, clouds will increase as moisture begins to return to the region. A more unsettled weather pattern starts on Tuesday with showers and thunderstorm chances going up. There won’t be a particular focus for showers and storms like a squall line. Any rain that pops up will be sporadic and random so just be on the lookout for those to pop.
By Thursday and Friday we transition from an unsettled pattern, to a drier one. Friday into the weekend, rain chances dry up and the sunshine returns. We’ll see a nice day next Saturday, with highs in the mid 80s again.
