WEATHER AWARE for your Thursday. A line of showers and thunderstorms have moved in this evening into Central Alabama. Some storms will produce gusty winds, lots of lightning and heavy rain. The line of storms will move through West Alabama from 6-8, then the I-20/59 corridor from 8-10, then moving to East Alabama and down to the south after 10 PM. An isolated severe storm can’t be ruled out, but this will not be a widespread severe weather outbreak.
Friday morning will see a few lingering showers with some clouds around. But by the afternoon we welcome much cooler and drier air back into the state. Afternoon highs will range from the mid to upper 70s in most spots with plenty of sun. The weekend is also looking great, with cooler morning lows in the upper 40s and low 50s Saturday and Sunday, with afternoon highs in the mid and upper 70s. Humidity will also be at a minimum.
Next work week we start off dry, but quickly see rain chances increase by Tuesday, with better rain and storm chances by Wednesday and Thursday.
