TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — Tuscaloosa Police responded to a residence at around 7:55 a.m. on Wednesday morning and found a suspect running from the domicile, according to a release from the organization.
The incident occured on the 2500 block of 22nd Street, and police detained the suspect after a brief chase on foot. The suspect, Terrence Oneal Tutt, 19, was accused of the 23-year-old survivor of raping her during a domestic altercation. The suspect was in a relationship with the accuser.
The survivor was take to DCH for treatment of minor injuries, and Tutt was charged with Rape I and put in the County Jail on a $60,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
