2 suspects in custody after breaking into Hudson K-8

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Police currently have two 18 year old males in custody Tuesday morning after they reportedly broke into Bertram A. Hudson K-8 School. The men were first spotted on a surveillance video at the Board of Education. Police say they found the suspects in the back of the building; the police then deployed tear gas and used K9 units to get the men out of the building. The suspects were later captured on the roof of the gym. Investigators say items were stolen from the building.
