(WIAT) — Human remains have been retrieved from the EgyptAir crash site. A senior Egyptian forensics official says the site suggests that there was an explosion on board, which may have brought down the aircraft. According to the Associated Press, the forensics official is part of the Egyptian investigative team. He has personally examined the remains at a Cairo morgue, but isn’t authorized to release information.
Reportedly all 80 pieces brought to Cairo are small, but we’re told there isn’t even a whole body part, like an arm or a head. All 66 people on board were killed when the Airbus 320 crashed early Thursday while en route from Paris to Cairo.
