MONTEVALLO, Ala. (WIAT) – Life in 18th century America was less than easy. At the American Village, you can witness that first hand. While walking the grounds, you might overhear an interpreter asking the crowd if they are angry about the Stamp Act.
All of this history in the present is acted out for your at the American Village.
“I think this is a great place to bring kids,” said Barbara Blair. “It’s a little different than going to the water park or the pool. You can learn a lot and it’s exciting to hear about what happened over two-hundred years ago.”
American Village is about as close to going back in time as you can get. During the American Village’s summer program, the future catches up with them! The food trucks bring refreshment from the present, while enjoying the past.
“It makes it better because you’re really hot out here and it’s really sweet. And who doesn’t love sweet things,” asked Mia Stowe.
Don’t miss out on all the fun–bring your family to the American Village this summer!
