ONEONTA, Ala. (WIAT) — A Blount County girl has passed away after falling from a tree while trying to tie a tree swing, according to the Blount County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s Deputies and a local fired department arrived to a home on Painter Road around 6 p.m. on Friday, according to Tim Kent with the Blount County Sheriff’s Office. When they arrived on the scene, Alexsis Payne, 13, was found in distress.
