BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The second day of the the three-day holiday weekend is again, hot and humid. But this time, we had some sporadic showers and a few t-storms pop up. The drier air in the mid-levels of the atmosphere moved out, allowing more upward development for clouds and for showers to form. We’ll see the rain coming to an end by sunset, allowing good fireworks viewing. We’ll see lows drop to the mid 70s by Monday morning.
The July 4th holiday is looking hot, humid, with a few showers and storms around. We aren’t expecting widespread rain, just some pop-up showers that could alter some plans. But those storms shouldn’t linger in any one spot too long. So don’t cancel any plans, just have a back up plan just in case. Temps should rise to the mid 90s.
The rest of the week will be highlighted by much better rain chances on Tuesday and Wednesday, with more typical summer weather coming for the rest of the week and next weekend.
