BRIGHTON, Ala. (WIAT) — Brighton police officers are back in patrol cars after their old ones broke down earlier this year. The Jefferson County Commission and a private donation donated new cars to the police department, so Brighton police now have four working vehicles.
The police chief told county commissioners he needed new vehicles to patrol the city properly. Two Dodge Chargers, an SUV and a Crown Victoria are all ready to go.
Officers had been using their own vehicles to answer calls.
