Former national guardsman allegedly tried to help ISIS

(WIAT) — A former National Guardsman is facing charges for allegedly trying to help ISIS. Mohaman Bailor Jalloh did not enter a plea during his court appearance on Tuesday.

The Justice Department says he attempted to help ISIS by trying to get guns during a visit to North Carolina in June. Authorities are detaining him until next Tuesday when he makes a second court appearance.

If convicted, he could go to prison for 20 years.
