Manager Brian Drennan, of Bob Baumhower’s Wings on 280, says “Kids Eat Free Day” is one their best days of the week and it’s more than just free food, it’s about community and an experience for the whole family.

“It’s every Wednesday,” Brian says, “every Wednesday from the time we open until the time we close….It’s one of our better nights Bob does this a as a way to give back to the community this is our way of saying thank you every single week.”

They also switch some TV from sports to more kid friendly shows and they bring in entertainment for the young ones.

  • Back to Bob Bomhauwer’s wings on Wednesday
  • Roll up your sleeves Thursday at Roly Poly
  • And kids eat free all weekend at Steak and Shake.

In addition to free meals, a national consumer expert says there are still several ways to save when dining out. “Look for discount dining deals,” says Andrea Woroch, “you can look at sites like restaurant.com where they offer different deals for restaurants in your neighborhood.”

She also says in addition to restaurant.com, giftcardgranny.com sells other’s unwanted gift cards. They often have restaurant gift cards deals up to 25% off. And check daily deal sites like Groupon and Living Social, where there are often be savings of 50 to 60%.

Some other options Andrea says to consider, big box warehouse stores sell gift card with 20% in savings and restaurant loyalty programs often mean free food and added discounts.
