EMELLE, Ala. (WIAT) — A single-vehicle crash at 12:15 a.m. on Saturday claimed the life of Elijah Nathan Davis, 28, of Demopolis, according to a release from ALEA.
Davis was killed when the 2006 Ford F150 that he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Davis, who was not wearing a seatbelt according to the release, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama 17 near the 155 mile marker, approximately one mile south of Emelle. The preliminary investigation indicates that speed may have been a factor in the crash.
