TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT)- Alabama offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor was arrested Sunday morning and charged with driving under the influence, according to the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
His bond was set at $1,000.
Taylor was named to the media pre-season All-SEC second team after starting all 15 games for the Tide as a junior in 2015.
In a statement released Monday afternoon, Nick Saban said, “We are very disappointed any time a player makes a choice that leads to this kind of behavior. We are still in the process of gathering all of the details on the situations, but from a football standpoint, Alphonse Taylor has been indefinitely suspended from the team.”
