TALLADEGA, Ala. (WIAT) — After four people were killed in an accident on Alabama 21 at Grist Mill Road in Talladega County on Saturday, neighbors are voicing their concerns about the dangerous intersection.
A two-car accident on Alabama 21 at Grist Mill Road killed four people Saturday afternoon. The identities of the four people killed are still unknown.
Investigators were out Sunday piecing together what happened.
It’s an intersection many people in the area say is dangerous.
Billy Mathews has lived in the area for several years and has driven through the intersection many times.
“If people are not familiar with them then they’ll forget about stopping on that second side,” said Matthews. “They’ll stop on the first side and pull across it and don’t think about what’s coming on that side.”
Other people in the area say they think adding an additional stop sign in the median would force people to stop and may prevent any future accidents.
